I'm Robert James Johnson, an artist, painter and photographer based in Santa Fe. My work explores the beauty in the obvious and in the occasionally overlooked, sometimes the re-imagination of cliche(s) and the strangeness of everyday life. I'm neither criticizing nor celebrating our foilables, rather taking a second and third look at them.

My ‘water-drop’ Cyanotypes macro photographs are literally digital captures through a lens of a drop of water. The smallest of bits of the world about us brought to light. I hope to capture the world that is simultaneously familiar and bizarre. Enjoy!

Not to be overlooked, I do now and then simply take landscape and skyscape photographs simply for the beauty of the image.
